West Virginia receives:
2B Dan Barnes (25, A) - minor league contract
Since Then:
Barnes is currently out of baseball after playing 2 subpar seasons with West Virginia's Class-A affiliate.
Chávez was shortly released by Bakersfield (6/23/07). He has sinced then signed with the Shin Seiki Evas where he won the 2007 League of the Rising Sun Neo-Tokyo Cup.
