Palm Springs Codgers and West Virginia Coal Sox

April 8th, 2007

West Virginia receives
SP Kiral Ertegun (21, A) - minor league contract
SP Jim Washington (17, A) - minor league contract
CF Alfredo Rodriguez (19, A) - minor league contract
LF Jorge Lopez (22, A) - minor league contract
SS Carlos Suarez (26, A) - minor league contract
RF Andrew Ubbens (20, A) - minor league contract

Palm Springs receives
3B Angelo Flores (24, AA) - minor league contract

Since Then:

Flores never appeared in a game for the Codgers, and after being released was actually resigned by the Coal Sox, though he never did anything of note in the minors.

Jorge Lopez was the only prospect of note the Coal Sox received, who would post decent numbers in the minors before being the centerpiece of a deal with Tempe.

Commentary:

This trade was the first of Palm Springs' Senility Sale.
