San Antonio receives:
Palm Springs' 3rd round 2008 draft pick (traded to Gloucester in Pexego deal)
Since Then:
Palm Springs' 3rd round pick was traded to Gloucester, who drafted SP Víctor Cruz.
Smith had an All-Star '08 season. He batted .302 with 35 homers and 103 RBIs. As of '09, he remains with Palm Springs where he is a solid season despite the slight dropoff compared to '08. Overall, he rates as one of the present day's lethal hitters in the league.
